Saki started learning piano from Shigeyo Taguchi at 3 years old, and graduated from Osaka University Of Arts Classical Piano and Vocal program.
Saki's career teaching music began at an Osaka church in 1998, and Saki's Music School officially opened in 2000.
Saki learned Sanshin from a prominent Okinawan teacher in Osaka, and started teaching sanshin in 2003. In 2004 Saki won her first prize at an Okinawan music competition. She has worked with Oscar-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and popular Japanese recording artist BEGIN. Saki is a certified instructor with Okinawa Minyo Hozonkai music association. In 2015, Okinawa Minyo Hozonkai granted her their Outstanding Performance Award. In June 2016, Okinawa Minyo Hozonkai awarded Saki their top prize in Sanshin performance. Saki is also a member of Okinawan Sanba Association and has performed on Okinawan television.
Most recently, Saki has completed a 9-month training program in digital music production at Energea NYC.
